The second edition of Visions of Culture: A Reader has undergone revisions and expansions, including new choices. It is designed to be used in conjunction with the fifth edition of Visions of Culture: An Introduction to Anthropological Theories and Theorists. Before each selection, there is a brief introduction that provides information about the anthropologist and the book. After each primary text, there is a section called “Queries and Connections.” This part consists of a series of questions that are intended to assist students in concentrating on the main topics in each book and connecting them to subsequent readings. Author Biography Jerry D. Moore has many roles as an archaeologist, writer, editor, and professor of anthropology at California State University Dominguez Hill. Moore has engaged in archaeological investigations in Peru, Mexico, and southern California. He has authored seven books, as well as countless essays and reviews.
